Happy Birthday, Carter!

Carter with Mike when he was 1 day old
Two years later in his "school" uniform that Auntie Shelby got him

This is my favorite Carter video so far. He is much better on the trike now but wow, thank goodness for helmets.

Today Carter turned two! It sounds so weird to say out loud, but it is true. We are celebrating with family on Sunday so it doesn't really feel like his birthday yet. I will post pictures from his party later.

In preparation for his doctor's appointment, I compiled a list of words that he can say. I was VERY surprised to tally them up to over 100! I can't believe how much he has learned in just a year. For those who want to skip the details, feel free. For those who are interested, below is a list of all the words Carter can say:

Go, Daddy! Go! (When Mike plows Carter says that out the window)

Carter loves to: play with his train set, watch Curious George, watch anything with Muppets, wrestle with Mike, play with Mike's iPhone, dance to the Glee soundtrack, conduct music when he hears it, pretend to play golf and make Hamilton laugh. He has a huge head, hands and feet (Mike calls them troll feet). He is impossibly stubborn at times (gee, I wonder where he gets that from?), has an infectious laugh and tons of energy. I have always wanted (and still want) girls, but I have to say I couldn't love my boys more. They are amazing, wonderful and beautiful and I am blessed to care for them.
